First, you should be sure that you realize that there may be some pain or discomfort as you are healing from your surgery. Many people wake up from their surgery and get worried about the procedure because of the pain that they feel when they wake up.

After you wake up you may need to get pain medication to ensure that you can deal with the discomfort and soreness that you will experience. It is important that you talk with your doctor and workout the perfect dosage for your body to be able to heal comfortably.

First, you should make sure that you know how to prepare food for yourself that will give your body the nutrients that it needs. Starving yourself is not an effective way to prevent weight gain from occurring and it is important that you are eating nutrient dense food.

Your stomach will only be able to handle a small amount of liquids while you are healing. This means that you are going to have to be very strict about taking the supplements that your doctor has provided for you while you are healing.

Start by meeting with your doctor and discussing ways that you will be able to change your diet. Changing your diet will ensure that your body is getting the nutrients and vegetables that it needs without providing it more sugars and fats that are going to be mal beneficial to weight loss.

Starving your body of the nutrients that it needs is not an effective way to get the extra weight off of your body. Instead, try to give your body all of the healthy food that you can to ensure that it is getting what it needs to shed the pounds without being malnourished.

While you are introducing solid food back into your diet, you should be very careful about chewing your food thoroughly. As soon as you feel full you should stop eating to ensure that you are not going to cause damage to your stomach.

This can take some getting used to, especially because you will probably not be used to eating such a small amount before you get full. You will want to change the way that you look at food to ensure that you are only eating until you get full.

Finally, it is important that you are sleeping enough. Your body needs sleep to heal and to be able to function properly. Give yourself at least eight hours of sleep every night to ensure that your body is going to have ample amount of time to rest.

Work with your doctor throughout your healing process to ensure that everything goes well. This way, you can lose the weight that you need to lose and be back on the path to a healthy and happy life.
