One of the greatest most challenging journeys you'll ever go on is seeing what your body is capable of. Perhaps you are in shape, totally out of shape, or just looking to lose some weight. Nonetheless, developing a body you can be proud, one that is healthy, and permits you to truly love each last inch of it actually is a dazzling journey to travel down.

So what is the secret behind making a lasting change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table each day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you may become unmotivated and discouraged. Instead, understand that you are contesting with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But each time you do, you should come back with a dedication to achieving something you've always strongly want. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each day. Without it, you may suffer the the inescapable fact of many new years resolutioners who give up each and every single year on developing the body of their dreams because they are missing the personal power to keep on coming back time and again.

Commitment also is evoked, though not the commitment you're likely thinking about. In our world, we are fed this strong idea that everything must happen right now and if it does not actually happen now, it's not worth it. Your body is going to drastically change acrossthe years, so why don't you try and make a lifetime commitment to staying healthy? Is that an attractive packageable idea? Not so much. But is it something that would truly change the course of your life? Totally.

When you make a commitment to keeping your body healthy all throughout your entire life, you will at last reach whatever goal you wish. It is about seeing the bigger picture than merely the few months in front of you until summer. It's about developing something that you truly can be happy with forever. For me, that new concept changed the course of my life as I was able to eventually hit my health goals after 12 years of fighting with my self-image and food issues. But as soon as I changed my view of what I was making an attempt to accomplish, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it might work for you. Make a lifelong and relentless commitment to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term too.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all sides of your life, and things will change drastically.
